lives a village life. He teaches his little school. He tries to make children
obedient and disciplined. He also teaches them good manners. A village school

generally comes to school from his village home. He works hard during school
hours. His life is busy in the school. He has working knowledge of Hindi,

teach all the subjects in the class. He knows history, geography and general
knowledge besides Hindi, English and Arithmetic.

father of the Man’ is a well-known saying. A child is the hope and future of
the country. India lives in village. So, we cannot afford to neglect and ignore
a village school master if we want to make India strong and great.
But
a village school master has to grate many difficulties. His salary should be raised
and made attractive to draw better and more qualified persons to the
profession. A village school master works and lives in the village. He does not
get all facilities there. The position of a Village school master is not very
respectable in society. Sometimes a peon of an important government office gets
more respect in villages than a school teacher. Pitiable indeed I.
Now
we have to solve his problems. His job must be made attractive. He must get due
respect everywhere. The government has revised his salary. Now he gets a higher
salary than before. But he must be well-trained to do his job well. No
government can survive of education at the primary level is neglected. Napoleon
rightly said, “Public instruction should be the first object of government.”
